The Inclusive Work Program (IWP) and its extension, IWP Plus, support vulnerable women across South Australia to overcome intersecting barriers and increase their social and economic inclusion. Many participants are rebuilding their lives after experiences of domestic and family violence, economic abuse, and entrenched disadvantage. The programs combine practical, modern workskills with wraparound psychosocial support to address the compounding challenges that prevent women from securing and sustaining employment.
To date, IWP has supported over 150 women, with outcomes far exceeding national benchmarks: 51% of participants are in sustainable employment or career-focused study within 6 months of completion, compared to a national average of just 11.7%. These outcomes reflect not only transformed individual lives, but significant downstream savings to government through reduced reliance on income support and associated services.
This funding request seeks to cover a critical gap in staffing costs required to deliver IWP and IWP Plus for the current financial year. Skilled, consistent staffing — including facilitators, case coordinators, and clinical support — underpins the program’s effectiveness; without it, GOGO cannot maintain the intensity and continuity of support that drives these results.

Our key expected outcome is that at least 50% of women will have secured safe, sustainable employment or be enrolled in further study within 6 months of joining GOGO. With adequate funding, this could be higher.
Based on past program outcomes, we also expect women will experience:
* Greater stability, peace, and a sense of direction in their lives
* Stronger coping skills, better equipping them to navigate challenges
* An increased sense of safety and inclusion in public spaces and services
* Improved ability to communicate and advocate for themselves effectively
* Greater knowledge and confidence in managing legal, financial, and employment-related responsibilities
* Expanded access to support networks
* Increased participation in community life.
These outcomes reflect the compounding, intersecting barriers many women face — and the wraparound nature of GOGO's support, which goes beyond employment readiness to build lasting stability and social and economic inclusion.
Progress towards these outcomes is tracked through GOGO's comprehensive Impact Measurement Framework (IMF), which assesses inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes against our Theory of Change. This framework enables us to monitor progress in real time, adapt the program to participants' evolving needs, and evidence long-term success to funders and partners.
Since 2021, GOGO Foundation has supported 150 women to reshape their lives. Immediately after completing IWP, 74% of women report increased community and social participation, and 80% report improved wellbeing and mental health.
With long-term support through IWP Plus, 51% of women have moved into employment or further study within 24 weeks of being welcomed at GOGO. This is significant when compared to government employment services, whose outcome sits at 11.7% after 26 weeks.
These results reflect a key lesson from our work: sustainable outcomes for women facing intersecting barriers require wraparound, long-term support — not point-in-time interventions alone. The gains in wellbeing and social participation seen immediately post-IWP are a critical foundation, but it is the continuity of support through IWP Plus that drives lasting employment and study outcomes.
We work closely with government-funded job services, community service providers, employer partners, and state, national and international advocacy groups and women-led collectives to collaborate, improve our offerings, and share the impact of our work. This collaborative approach ensures our program design continues to evolve in response to what the data — and the women we support — tell us works.

Since inception, the programs have supported over 150 women, combining practical modern workskills with wraparound psychosocial support, with 51% in sustainable employment or career-focussed study within 6 months (against the national average of 11.7%).
GOGO’s impact is grounded in strong partnerships across the South Australian community and social services and government sectors, including the Department of Human Services, Skills SA. The organisation’s work has been recognised at the highest levels, including a milestone event in 2026 under the patronage of the Governor of South Australia marking five years of impact through the IWP.
Beyond direct service delivery, GOGO plays an active advocacy role — contributing to federal employment services reform discussions, submitting evidence-based input to national policy processes such as the Second Action Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children, and exploring pathways to scale IWP nationally.
