Steven Rothfield is committed to social justice and, in addition to being a donor, has worked as a hands-on volunteer on philanthropic projects since his retirement as MD of Bryant and May (brands as Redheads & Wilkinson Sword). Working with Indigenous leaders in over 30 projects, he has recognised the significant role of women in community development, and several of these projects were to improve their economic and educational opportunities.
He is currently on the Board of Kaiela Institute Ltd, Barpirdhila Foundation and Dungala Kaiela Foundation. He has served as a Director on the Australian Communities Foundation Board for almost a decade. With a Commerce degree, an MBA (Melbourne) and a CPA, his career includes general management, management consultancy, IT and finance.
